Hello and welcome! My name is Stephanie and I am a Master's level counselor who is currently working on becoming licensed to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. In my work with clients, I have a multifaceted approach to counseling, some of which includes: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered, Trauma-Focused, Multicultural, and Attachment-Based. I have experience and interest in providing support and treatment to adolescents and adults, who struggle with anxiety, depression, sexual addictions, and trauma.

For over 30 years I have been honored with the experience of helping individuals being held back by addictions, anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties. I seek to provide a judgement free, in-depth understanding of my clients' journeys provide tools for increasing self esteem, understanding and effectively experiencing emotions, and challenging difficult behavioral patterns. I assist couples in reconciling the hurts of the past and moving towards shared unity and deeper intimacy. Some of the areas I specifically specialize in include: substance abuse, sexual addictions, anger management, self injury and LGBTQIA issues.

Counseling is a space where you can explore, process, heal and grow. By being vulnerable we can allow ourselves the space to reflect on who we are now and where we have come from. I believe that we deserve a space where we can feel safe, comfortable and free from judgement. In this space, we can take out some of the boxes that are stored away and discover how we can let go of what no longer serves us while creating new ways of being and relating to ourselves, others, and the world around us .

Welcome! As a therapist my goal is to create a non-judgmental and supportive space where it feels safe to explore and grow. I have extensive experience supporting survivors of sexual assault and relational trauma (domestic violence, childhood abuse) as well as a strong understanding of narcissistic abuse and codependency. I also work with individuals that may be experiencing anxiety, depression, and OCD as well as life stress from difficult loss or transitions. My therapeutic approach integrates a psychodynamic and interpersonal framework along with some elements of Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CF-CBT).

Over the years, it has been my privilege and honor to serve many different populations. Most recently, I have spent a lot of time working with marital and family issues as well as addictions of various kinds. I also enjoy assisting clients with stage of life challenges like remarriage, adjustments after the birth of your first child, teen years, empty nest, or dealing with chronic illness. Many of these issues are usually connected to stress and anxiety management; an area I have also worked with extensively. My experience and education are difficult to encapsulate into just a few areas.

I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders as well as life adjustment issues. I am also certified in clinical hypnosis to treat weight loss, smoking, sleep, confidence, and pain management. I have over 20 years of experience as a therapist in the mental health field. Although I have much experience and knowledge as a therapist, I believe people won't care how much you know until they know how much you care. We all need to be seen, heard, and understood, and so much healing happens then. I believe in the mind/body/spirit connection and I individualize my approach with each unique person.

I am a Master's Clinician, with a strong concentration in Clinical Outpatient Counseling. In 2012, I received the Addictions Studies Director's Award from Alvernia University which recognized my commitment to supporting individuals in the field. I earned the Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling (MACC ) Excellence Award in 2023. I am certified in Emergency Behavioral Health.

I am a licensed professional counselor with 20+ years of experience. I am interested in helping people find hope and direction in their lives. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with my Master's and undergraduate degrees in Social Work. I also have High Honors from the Phi Alpha Honor Society for my study in the field. I have over 14 years of experience working in the human services fields. I am Certified in Sexual Abuse Trauma by the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. I am EMDR trained and provide intensive EMDR sessions. I combine my knowledge of trauma and EMDR.
