I treat: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma (with or without PTSD), ADHD, and Autism (does not need to be previously diagnosed). My method is to analyze connections which typically stem back to one’s family of origin, which can lead to poor self-regard. I work through an Existential foundation, to help those I work with seek meaning and purpose, with skills built from experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, all within the context of a trauma-informed approach.

Dr. Shelton is a clinical psychologist, born and raised in the Mahoning Valley. He has experience working in a variety of settings, including community mental health, behavioral schools, college counseling, outpatient clinics, inpatient hospitals and corrections. He enjoys working with a wide range of patient populations of all ages and demographics, providing individual, family, and couples psychotherapy. Over the course of his career, Dr. Shelton has worked with patients struggling with a multitude of concerns, including anxiety, depression, identity concerns, behavioral problems, schizophrenia, personality disorders and more.

Dr. Nate Koser is a Lacanian Psychoanalyst. Dr. Koser is also licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Ohio, as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia. Dr. Koser is a Psychoanalyst Member of the School of Psychoanalysis of the Forums of the Lacanian Field (IF-SPFLF), a member and the International Delegate of the Colorado Analytic Forum of the Lacanian Field, and a member of the Foro Analítico del Río de la Plata (FARP), in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. Koser is a faculty member of the Clinical College of Colorado in Denver, CO, and co-owner of Aporia Counseling & Psychotherapy, PLLC.

My ideal client is dealing with substance abuse and they along with their family have suffered tremendously. They can be in any of the 4 stages of change. I approach helping my clients heal in a empathetic and compassionate way which introduces a holistic approach to living. I do not see my clients as "addicts" but rather people who are hurting on an variety of levels and are worth saving. My experience, knowledge and licensure enable me to aid people who are battling weight, sexual and relationship issues as well.

Dr. Dunn is a licensed clinical psychologist with experience and expertise in providing treatment to adults. He was born and raised in Holmes County, Ohio. He served as a U.S. Air Force Psychologist for four years before establishing a private practice in Columbus, and then in 1998 opened New Life Counseling in Dover. In addition to treatment of depression, anxiety, and marital and family problems, he provides more specialized treatment in pain management. He lives with his wife and two children near Dover, and they are active in a local church.
