Welcome! Starting therapy is a brave endeavor; an act of self care and a hopeful step. I believe each of us has the innate inner-strength as well as the wisdom needed to create the internal and external healing and growth we seek. My training guides the work, but you are the expert on your needs, strengths and treatment goals. If you are in a heightened state of stress or anxiety, our first order of business will be decreasing distress and relieving symptoms. If you are in recovery from relational trauma or abuse, or experiencing grief, safety and containment is where we will begin.
My post graduate training is steeped in psychoanalysis; I am a certified trauma therapist. Supervision and ongoing peer work is a crucial part of my practice. My commitment to providing you with the care you deserve is rooted in my post graduate work and experience. I specialize in relational trauma, grief, complex PTSD, EMDR, and RLT couples' therapy.
Finding the right therapist for you is THE most important aspect of any therapeutic relationship. While the framework for treatment is fairly similar, your work and the work we do together will create the roadmap for your healing. I offer a 20 minute phone consult prior to scheduling a session.
