We often get lost in what we feel like we should or can't do, which confines us in little boxes that make it hard for us to feel vibrant and celebrate our uniqueness. I believe that when we explore and deconstruct the social constructions and dominant discourses in our social-cultural location and biases that don't align with our personal experiences or beliefs we have the autonomy and freedom to get in touch with our most core self and better understand how we interact with our world.

I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in the therapy community for the past 10+ years. I create a safe, comfortable environment to share and explore the thoughts and areas of your life you want to change. My goal is to help you identify the challenges in your life and guide you through the necessary steps with appropriate therapeutic modalities to improve your situation, give you a better quality of life, and foster hope. I am a dedicated therapist and social worker who treats each individual client with care, respect, and very specific treatment approaches in order to suit your particular needs.

I know that making the decision to contact a therapist can be difficult for some and my goal is to make the time spent as welcoming as possible.

Many of our clients look good on the outside, yet feel mildly miserable on the inside. Pain is motivating and when clients are hurting, they call to schedule an appointment. It takes more than intellect to change behavior. Most of our clients are intelligent and know what they "should" do, yet struggle to take action. Our team works with people (or partners) who struggle with substances and behavioral medicators such as alcohol, porn, overeating and codependency. Every person I serve has a unique story. While some clients experience challenges in just one area, most experience difficulty multiple areas (mental health, trauma, loss, addiction), creating a complex, vicious cycle if not all parts are addressed. I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) and bicultural professional who has worked with abused children, adolescents, adults and their families who have experienced trauma. The mission of Lifestyle Consultant Services is to improve the quality of mental health and substance abuse services by reducing stigma and by protecting the rights of the individual who suffers from mental illness and/or substance abuse. By identifying the pain and suffering experienced by citizens in our community and addressing them with care, we aim to strengthen and promote health and well being. Suboxone is the combination of buprenorphine (partial opioid agonist) and naloxone (opioid antagonist - Narcan). The combination is either 2 mg/0.5 mg or 8 mg/2 mg. Suboxone is a sublingual film (it dissolves under the tongue).

Each person is a unique individual whose life and experience is different from anyone else, and deserves to be addressed with unconditional positive regard for themselves and their circumstances. This is why I place an emphasis on authenticity and the importance of understanding each person as a whole, focusing on healing through the integration of mental, physical, and spiritual health. As a therapist, I will involve strategies and techniques including CBT, sandtray and sandplay, motivational interviewing, addressing the mind and body connection, and the incorporation of ongoing psychoeducation.
