All three dimensions of the attachment injury are traumatized. The aftermath of discovery/disclosure induces symptoms that impact psysiological responses to the mind, body.The treatment protocol for sexual addiction induced trauma I practice is EMDR, as well as 2 day Intensives. Practicing SEP,we are able to get to wounds of how the body holds the trauma/ attachment injury, using an integrative trauma model.Emotionally Focused Therapy allows helping couples to get to their deepest needs/hurt/rejection/ and betrayal.
I am a trained level 2 Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist. Somatic Experiencing Practioner (SEP) the body holding the trauma. Certified as a Sexual Addiction Specialist and Partner Trauma Specialist.Training as an Emotionally Focused Therapist (EFT),and certified Hypnotherapist.
I was on the original board of Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialist. I wrote a book for partners, "Spouses of Sex Addicts, Hope for the Journey". I believe in treating the one with sexual integrity issues, partner, and coupleship. Each in their own time,with a sense of predictable structure, exploring what went wrong and harm to others
