My goal as a therapist is to offer a safe environment for my clients to discover past trauma, as it related to present personal difficulties. Additionally, my clients are encouraged to discover healthier coping strategies to deal with present life stressors. It is important to me that my clients feel respected and understood in the process of self discovery and self development. My therapy treatment methods include: person-centered, systemic, behavioral, assigned readings, strategic, and brief. Ideally, for effective treatment, my clients are willing to attend therapy on a regular basis and are willing to be open and honest.

I help couples work through marital conflicts and help them achieve a relationship based on trust, security, mutual empathy and deeper levels of connection. I also work with individuals struggling with histories of trauma such as sexual, physical or emotional abuse. In addition, I help men who struggle with compulsive sexual behaviors, anxieties, depression, and/or obsessive thoughts. I encourage clients to explore their past in order to identify patterns that are affecting their current relationships and personal goals. I provide a safe place to share personal struggles and work toward change. Upon request, I provide a Christian approach.

My goal for each therapy session is to respect the client, allow them to be heard, appreciate where they are coming from, and help guide them through their struggles or issues. My approach to therapy is to utilize an integrative approach with clients. What this means is that I utilize different approaches for different people, as we are not all alike.
