Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker here to help you feel more connected, confident, and excited about who you are and the relationships around you. I enjoy working with adults and couples and am passionate about helping clients reach their goals. Special areas of interest include trauma, life transitions, relationship conflict, premarital counseling, and couples contemplating separation or divorce. For over forty years I've helped individuals and couples heal their emotional wounds. If you grew up in a dysfunctional family, the traumatic effects of that environment, such as anxiety, depression, anger, and relationship problems, are with you to this day. To have the fully functioning life you want, it is essential to recover from the neglect, abuse, and lack of parental attunement from which you may have suffered in your early years. I'll collaborate with you to help you understand how your past affects your present, and how you can make the changes you need to improve your life and relationships.

I enjoy working with people to create a nonjudgmental space that is tailored to their needs and goals. My view is that we are connected internally and externally in a web of different systems that impact us, and through understanding how these systems and the client are affecting one another do we get a comprehensive view of what’s going on. When appropriate and agreed upon, I will work with people in these different systems (e.g., family, loved ones, teachers, primary care providers, social workers, parole officers, etc.) to help provide continuity of care and a cohesive treatment plan.

My specialty is in working with trauma and children ages 3-10. I have advanced training as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and in Child-Centered Play Therapy. I work with clients to create a custom plan that addresses a variety of issues from the stresses of everyday life to managing specific incidents.
