I have life experience as a person who has experienced being diagnosed with a chronic illness, having to make a mid-life career change, endured family conflict and childhood abuse growing up. I know the struggles with children, teens, work, and relationships both intimate and those we rub shoulders with everyday. My main forms of therapy tend to be solution focused, cognitive behavioral therapy and person centered with a priority in making changes in behavior and thinking. However, all forms of therapy are used in my practice including but not limited to narrative, reality, mindfulness, play therapy, some art therapy, and sand tray therapy to explore all facets of the self. I will use whatever works best for you. I believe that therapy is a place to explore uncomfortable emotions, issues, and trauma, as well as explore who you are, who you have been and what you want for your future with a focus on your strengths, resilience, and balance.

I believe in a therapeutic process that revolves around life's changes and the journeys it takes us on. Choosing to change your focus is a powerful way of transforming any situation. Focusing on the positive doesn't mean that we are denying reality or avoiding what isn't working. It simply allows us to work from a grounded place in order to make the most informed decision from a less emotional place of clarity. Major life transitions, such as divorce, loss, moving, retirement, empty nest, debilitating illnesses, and trauma can cause upheaval, grief, and a tremendous amount of stress.
