I have been working as a trauma-informed therapist for ten years and I am passionate about ensuring survivors of trauma and adversity have a safe non judgemental space to heal from their painful past and recover to live their best life. I teach my clients SKILLS to cope with life and how to reframe their MINDSET & take ACTION to RESTORE hope while confronting their TRAUMA. Hi there, my name is Lauren Mayberry! I am LPC Associate 89101 in the state of Texas, and I am supervised by Mariah J. Tailleur, LPC Supervisor 66631. At the University of North Texas, I received both my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2019 and my Master’s degree in Counseling in 2022. I have spent the last 4 years serving children 10+, teens and adults regarding a multitude of concerns.

My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, seen, understood, and ultimately accepted for everything you are. I will meet you without judgment, preconceptions, or assumptions. We will work together to understand how past traumas impact your daily life, relationships with others, and self identity and develop an individualized treatment. Dr. Storey’s approach to psychotherapy aims to provide the dual approach of providing symptom relief, and diving into the root of each individual’s presenting concern. She views psychotherapy as a means to help individuals make sense of wants and needs, and to advocate for a way of being that feels empowering and in connection with their own values. She can help with identification of triggers, improving coping skills, and enhancing relaxation skills. Dr. Storey is currently accepting appointments for individual psychotherapy and couples/marital counseling, ages 18 and up, in our Southlake office, or via Telehealth.

Adrian has spent his clinical and professional experience working in a variety of settings, including nonprofit, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization and inpatient/residential. He has worked extensively with adolescents and adult individuals experiencing trauma, post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation and relationship concerns. He can also help with self-esteem, life transitions, veteran's issues, relationship violence, sexual abuse, substance use, grief and loss, career concerns, family conflict, gender identity concerns and more.

You have lived a unique life, and have stories of your experiences that no one else can tell. Stories of abuse and resilience, stories of how relationships have been stretched or broken and how you've waded through the aftermath. Together, we can work to dedicate time and attention into telling the stories of how you've been able to put the broken things in your life into new and beautiful things. I have a special interest in working with trauma and anxiety. My areas include PTSD, CPTSD, anxiety, panic disorders, sexual trauma, sex, depression, and relationship turmoil.

Only what you feel is real. Traumatized minds are directed by emotions and misinterpret logic. I work best with those who are highly imaginative, creative, and ready to confront their past.

I am dedicated to helping my clients heal from trauma, grow in self-awareness, and find and establish their identity and value. My husband and I walked through infidelity in our relationship and I compassionately understand the devastation betrayal has on a partner, a relationship, and a family. I understand the difficult questioning that occurs after a betrayal and the excruciating work it takes to become healthy and maintain wholeness. Asking for help is often difficult, however my client-centered approach creates a safe, non-judgmental space for you to process and begin healing.

You matter and you are here for a reason. Life is not easy and sometimes our thoughts can feel like facts, or our past can overwhelm our view of our future. Christi Moreno is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Comfort and Joy Therapy. She received her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from a CACREP program and enjoys working with children (7+), adolescents, and adults of all ages. She enters every counseling relationship with a person-centered approach and uses a variety of counseling techniques and theories as appropriate for specific client situations. Techniques and theories could include elements from Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Adlerian Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, DBT, Art Therapy, and many others.

For the last 30 years I've been privileged to work with courageous clients as they face traumatic life events, stand up to addictions, grieve betrayals and losses, and find freedom to live a more enjoyable confident life. I have a lot of respect for anyone willing to enter into a counseling process with a commitment to growth and change. The counseling process takes a lot of work and determination but I have seen long lasting results as clients have faced uncomfortable feelings and beliefs and literally rewired their brains!
