I focus on marriage and family counseling, recovery from sexual abuse, grief and loss, and spiritual direction. I seek to help you understand your story and find your voice so that you can achieve your counseling goals. My training and approach is faith-based.

Dr. Storey’s approach to psychotherapy aims to provide the dual approach of providing symptom relief, and diving into the root of each individual’s presenting concern. She views psychotherapy as a means to help individuals make sense of wants and needs, and to advocate for a way of being that feels empowering and in connection with their own values. She can help with identification of triggers, improving coping skills, and enhancing relaxation skills. Dr. Storey is currently accepting appointments for individual psychotherapy and couples/marital counseling, ages 18 and up, in our Southlake office, or via Telehealth.

I work with people who are struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and other emotional/relational difficulties, particularly those struggles that are long-standing and unchanging. While symptom relief is the initial focus, my goal is to also help people understand why they began struggling in the first place, with the hopes the symptoms do not return. Psychoanalysis and psychotherapy can help address wounds related to a person's family of origin or other relationships. Each treatment is tailored to the individual rather than a "one size fits all" approach.
