I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, all forms of abuse (manipulation, physical abuse, sexual abuse, controlling relationships, human trafficking, abuse in the workplace, abusive familial relationships, dating relationships, etc.), & setting & enforcing boundaries.

I value being a person that is a hope-giver, helping people feel less alone in their struggles and equipping those same people with the knowledge and tools they need to keep moving forward with strength and confidence. I have clinical experience working with those dealing with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma (including sexual assault and abuse), grief/loss, life transitions, relationship navigation, LGBTQIA+ related matters, academic difficulties, and stress and anger management.

Life can be a challenge. Visiting with me is not going to change your circumstances, but I believe I can help you change the way you experience them. I have often been told that I am a warm, compassionate and nonjudgmental guide that will walk with you through dark times and will cheer you along as you reach new levels of freedom and hope. I do not view myself as an expert that can solve your problems, but rather as one who can sit with you while you wrestle with your deepest fears, hurts and pain and find the answers for yourself.

Christian Counseling: Experienced with Marriage and Relationship Counseling and Restoration, Sexual Abuse Trauma (all ages), Grief and Loss Support. Experienced with treating children in CYFD, CASA, and CAC. I have provided crisis intervention and therapy for police officers, firefighters, pastors, and military families. I have served as a foster parent and am a mother of five.

If you are having difficulties and would like some support, I would like to help. I work with a broad range of issues but have a great deal of experience working with people who have experienced different kinds of trauma including childhood abuse and sexual assault, depression, anxiety, and relationship concerns (romantic/social/family). I also have interests in working with issues related to identity in a minority population (racial/ethnic, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious). It is important to me to provide a safe, accepting, and multiculturally competent environment for my clients as they explore challenging issues.

Trauma and its aftershocks suck. Trauma wounds the mind, body and spirit. It's confusing and debilitating, and it leaves you wondering whether life will get better. Trauma can make you feel, and believe, that there is something wrong with you, that you are going crazy, or that you are broken or stupid. But none of it is true. The truth is this: trauma is healable.

In my practice, I am deeply committed to providing compassionate support and guidance to individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, and depression. I understand that life can be challenging, and my goal is to offer a safe space where you can find relief, understanding, and the tools to regain joy and peace. I also specialize in working with couples, whether they are seeking premarital counseling to strengthen their foundation or relationship counseling to navigate through difficulties. I also work with families looking to reconnect or heal. I offer a supportive environment for families to address issues and unify.

I work with my clients to help heal life's hurts from a Christian, holistic perspective. My passion is to bring healing to your mind, body, and spirit, and help facilitate healing using a solution-focused model. I work with teens, young adults, women, and families. I have been an advocate for victims of domestic violence, grief counselor, DivorceCare facilitator, and treatment facility therapist. I also work with families going through the difficult process of divorce as a Neutral Mental Health Professional in Collaborative Divorces. I have a wide-array of experience to meet you where you are.

Hi there. Life is hard. All of us deserve someone in our corner helping us navigate it. That is my hope to be for you. I offer trauma-informed therapy to a wide range of populations and ages. My focus is working with those with complex PTSD, chronic suicidal ideation, dissociative disorders, relationship dysfunction, and chronic illnesses. I've been honored to have clinical experience working with combat veterans and their spouses, first responders, teen survivors of sex trafficking, and victims of childhood abuse. In addition to providing virtual therapy, I work in the Mental Health department at a county jail.

Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, (1943), "The Theory of Human Motivation", reads: if a person’s basic needs (food, shelter, physical/mental safety) and social needs (love, belonging, self-worth, sense of purpose) are not fulfilled, that person will experience frustration and will “pivot” on a level of need that appears easiest to satisfy. Which level of need are you "stuck" on? Are you bound by anxious, fearful and mind-binding thoughts? Freedom is a goal that can be attained.

I am committed to providing compassionate and non-judgmental support by providing a safe space for clients to open up and process emotional hardship. I have a passion for working with those who have severe mental health issues, and have worked in this area for 7+ years. I work with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, trauma, severe mental illness, and dissociative disorders. I believe that it is important to feel heard, understood, and safe with your therapist.
