I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and certified school counselor with 14 years experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults in various settings. As a teacher and school counselor at the elementary and high school levels, I had the opportunity to help students and their families address academic, social, and behavioral needs.

Struggles with anxiety, depression, insecurity, burnout and stress can discourage us and keep us from realizing our full potential. It is my belief that people are inherently good and doing the best they can. However, sometimes we all need additional support to get through difficult times. Consequently, I consider the therapeutic relationship to be a powerful tool that can help you gain awareness into behaviors and issues that may be keeping you “stuck”. Since we are all unique, I believe in honoring your individuality by taking an integrative approach to the therapeutic process. My goal in treatment is to meet you where you are, and provide a safe and compassionate environment in which you can heal and grow.

Everyone needs therapy. Some of us just choose to distract ourselves with the day-to-day madness. The problem with this is that life will eventually slow you down and you are unable to use those distractions. This is typically when you may feel hit hard by anxiety, panic, and depression. We will start with coping skills and mindfulness but I am here for the long haul. I am a damn good therapist, and I want to help you truly heal.

I have extensive experience working with individuals who are grieving, families who are struggling in their relationships, and with those who are facing challenges in their lives and in their relationship with God. I do individual counseling as well as marriage and family counseling. I focus on communication skills, coping with stress and anxiety, trauma, and healing past hurts. My perspective and approach is Christian but I work very well with clients who are not religious or who are exploring their relationship with God.
