Hello! My name is Kristin Dolph. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a specialization in mental health, trauma and wellness. I provide therapuetic services to a wide variety of emotional and mental health needs for adults, adolescents, children and couples. My passion is to help my clients in becoming the best version of themselves. With over 25 years' experience working with clients across the lifespan and numerous social and cultural backgrounds, I aim to provide a safe space where clients can feel heard, understood, and most importantly, get answers. My focus of treatment is of CPTSD, or complex trauma, which is a condition brought on by chiildhood traumas that were ongoing and of multiple dimensions. She utilizes treatment approaches that are evidence-based and uniquely tailored to each client.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. My main areas of interest and experience include: behavior problems, crisis support, developmental disabilities, ADHD, anger management, depression, grief, trauma, abuse, anxiety, low self- esteem, divorce, and parenting skills/education. Prior to private practice, I worked with substance abuse, homelessness,case-management, provided intensive home-community based therapy, engaged in school- based counseling, managed and provided therapy within a partial hospitalization program with in an alternative behavior school, and frequented the courts and hospitals.

My approach to therapy is guided by the principles of the social work profession including empathy, unconditional positive regard (all people have strengths and inherent worth), self-efficacy (people can make their own decisions), and self-determination (people have what it takes to do what’s best for them). I draw on CBT (the relationship between thoughts and feelings and how changes in thoughts impact mood); Motivational Interviewing (strengthening motivation to make the changes you want to make); and person-centered therapies (uncovering and highlighting your strengths and using your strengths to help navigate life’s lemons).
