I am a licensed Social Worker with a Master's degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University. I specialize in treating children and adolescents ages 3-12 navigate feelings they may have related to past trauma including but not limited to experiencing sexual abuse, witnessing domestic violence and experiencing physical, emotional abuse or neglect. My primary area of interest includes treating trauma (PTSD), dissociative disorders, anxiety and depression. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic interventions including Play Therapy, EMDR Therapy, Ego State Therapy, expressive arts, bibliotherapy and Sandtray.

Children, families and adults are very special to me. Children ages 0-10, pre-teens, teens, college students and adults of all ages. Parent/Giuardian involvement, both father and mother, is mandatory when working with children. I have extensive training and experience in trauma treatment, family therapy, ADHD assessment and treatment and anxiety. My areas of specialization include depression; anxiety; trauma issues including rape, incest and childhood/adult emotional, physical and sexual abuse, neglect and poverty; grief and loss; and life adjustment.

I have been providing mental health counseling over the past forty-two years to individuals, couples, and families. I also have extensive experience working with clients facing legal charges related to violent and sexual crimes.

I have a medical background, and I like helping the elderly and people with various illnesses and chronic pain.

I have been practicing for over 35 years and still love the process of engaging with clients who desire to grow, improve their lives, and/or solve their problems through therapy. Assisting people during times of crisis, transition, personal struggle, trauma resolution, and family problems is what I do best as a psychologist. In addition I have worked hard to build a Practice involving many other therapists who have the same mission. My husband, Dave Zachau, who is also a therapist, and I have devoted our lives to helping others and building our community based Practice.

I offer in-person and telehealth sessions. I am here to help others reach their personal goals while providing a warm and judgement free environment. My eclectic approach is flexible and meets the person where there at, while matching the symptoms and disorders to the treatment approach. I help individuals identify specific struggles in their life. My experience has helped clients regulate emotions, and work through issues and struggles while providing tools to facilitate healing.
