I don't believe in pathologizing someone's sexual behaviors. As an AASECT-certified sex therapist, my philosophy is simple: if it's consensual, and it's not hurting you or your partner(s), your sexuality and all that it entails (your fantasies, experimentation, whatever turns you on) will be supported, nurtured, and listened to without judgment.

My ideal client is one who has goals they are actively working toward yet simply need a little help fully achieving them. My ideal clients want to be the best version of themselves and are willing to accept my help to get them there.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who obtained my Master's of Arts in Counseling from John Carroll University in 2002. I have practiced in agency,forensic and private practice settings in Cleveland over the course of the past ten years. I offer therapy sessions for adolescents, adults, couples and families using Cognitive Behavioral Techniques to help clients make desired and meaningful changes in their lives by helping them identify and reach their therapeutic goals.

Originally from NYC, have always had friends, associates, relationships with persons from every culture.  This has been extremely valuable in developing my clinical skills and ability to understand and help a wide variety of people from various backgrounds.  The next invaluable contribution to my clinical skills is my Mother, Elizabeth, who taught me, "Everyone I know knows something I don't."  This makes every single person of unique intrinsic value.

Therapy is a process that allows for healing and awareness. I practice heart-centered hypnotherapy along with other holistic practices. These experiential practices provide a gateway to release stuck traumas, which ultimately create the habitual patterns that may not be serving your higher self. You can rediscover your personal power and learn how to internally resource, seeing all the choices available to you when challenges in your life are happening. In committing to this process, you can step into your own energy and reclaim your authentic self.

I have experience working with all types of anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and complex trauma. My secondary specialties include severe chronic mental illness, relationship problems, recovery from previous domestic violence, LTGBQ+ concerns, self-harm, and developmental or attachment wounds from childhood. I continue to take continuing education classes to improve my knowledge and skills in these areas. I especially enjoy working with clients motivated to improve their lives and willing to take responsibility for their success rather than expecting others to do their work.

I'm not sure I have an ideal client. I believe in meeting a person where they are and moving forward from there. I feel people often come to therapy to help find the best version of themselves. I enjoy helping others find solutions to their problems, helping them identify their strengths, and deciding how to improve their weaknesses.

I strive to work towards creating a space where you can radically accept who/where you are, while also working towards creating the life you want to live. A collaborative approach is used to explore developed behavioral patterns, emotional reactions, and instilled beliefs. Doing so can be an intimating yet a rewarding process, one I aim to walk alongside.
