At times we have experienced difficulties; I believe remaining positive helps us through those times. I enjoy listening to individuals in in order to offer encouragement and solutions. My experiences include working with students in a public school setting, working with hospice as a Companion Sitter, and working with children, youth, and adult survivors of sexual assault. These experiences have allowed me the privilege to offer them emotional support, encouragement, increase their self confidence, as well as to learn holistic positive coping skills.

I work with children, teens, and adults undergoing life transitions, or who are recovering from challenging circumstances or trauma. I offer couples and family sessions in addition to individual sessions. I specialize in pregnancy/postpartum/parenting, TBI & head injury, and additionally support people undergoing grief and loss. I treat a broad age range of clients (1 to 100). I take a developmental and psychodynamic approach which examines early life experiences that affect one's development and current problems. As a marriage and family therapist, I treat both individuals and families, closely examining relationship challenges and providing ways to resolve them between parents and children, siblings, adult partners, and friends. I also specialize in assessment and treatment of trauma, abuse, dissociation, and PTSD. I have a dual approach of treating the source of one's problems and managing current difficulties.

I specialize in clients who have to keep it together on the outside but are falling apart on the inside. Suffering in silence is fuel for self-hatred, people-pleasing, self-sabotage, avoidance, anger, shutting down, addiction, detachment, perfectionism, imposter syndrome... If this feels familiar, I assume it’s been absolutely draining. If you have a career or environment that forces you to stay silently ablaze, it's downright hellish. Therapy provides insight into how to get out of the muck; my style of therapy is for the people who want to go deeper and find the way out of the pain, even when it scares them.

Ask most kids, and they will straight out say most adults are clueless about how hard it is to deal with the problems they face.
