I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I currently offer therapy services to individuals, couples, families and groups. In my practice we accept BCBS, Tricare, Aetna, as well as self-pay clients. I use an integrative approach including mindfulness, acceptance, and cognitive and behavioral principles as well as the humanistic and person centered approach to ensure that the right skills are used to meet your goals. I have experience working with victims of abuse and trauma, including adolescents, and I am trained in therapeutic modalities proven to work for trauma.

I enjoy working with individuals to help them uncover patterns of behavior or thinking that are interfering with their personal growth. By addressing the underlying issues that are creating problems, you will be able to create lasting change and transformation. I welcome clients working through life issues including; depression, anxiety, grief, relationship concerns, self-esteem, trauma, parenting, marital issues, and behavioral issues to name a few. In addition to individual therapy, I also offer couples and family therapy where we will work together to develop a functional system that will serve your individual needs.

My training as a mental health professional has taught me to be highly attuned to individuals needs, with a strong desire to help my clients overcome difficulties. Being knowledgeable about a number of treatment modalities is essential. I specialize in treating symptoms without focusing on labels. I know asking for help can be challenging. Tendra L. Statom, M.Ed., LPC, NCC is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. Additionally, she is a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Tendra has 6 years of experience working as a behavioral health counselor in a psychiatric hospital setting and as a family & child therapist in an outpatient counseling center setting that treats couples, children, teens, families, and individuals. Furthermore, Tendra has provided individual counseling and group therapy in a veteran hospital setting.
