Unlike psychiatry where medication is prescribed to prevent your feelings from being experienced, my practice is designed to make sense and make use of the sensations we are receiving from ourselves. Professionally bringing our attention to psychological symptoms puts us in direct contact with the core of our conflict(s) and sets forth a personal resolution.
My procedure is to stabilize primary concerns. Thereafter, my practice is designed to understand how and what your psychological symptoms (e.g., depressed mood, anxiety or sleep disturbances) are conveying to you about the spaces/relationships you occupy and where meaningful adjustments can be made.
I draw from Psychoanalytic, Existential and Cognitive therapy to inform and direct treatment. I specialize in anxiety, depressive/manic moods, substance use, relational/family health, crisis, and sexuality. Psychotherapy is a professional service where the treatment and applied practice is very personal, therefore I offer a free initial consultation.
