A session with me will be relaxed, while still being directive. My goal is to create a safe space for my clients where you can laugh, cry, & explore any & all thoughts. I will challenge you to look at your thoughts/behaviors, however, in my sessions, the topic of conversation is always up to my client. We will always go at your pace & I will always check in with your comfort levels. When we are discussing more dysregulating topics, using humor as a tool is common in my sessions. I believe being able to bring levity to even the darkest of trauma’s can bring a feeling of mastery & power over it.

As a therapist, I work with clients who are teens and adults. In our therapeutic relationship and work, I help clients gain control over their lives and help them learn to cope and understand whatever issues they come with. I enjoy working with both adults and adolescents. Who we are is a direct result of what we experience and surround ourselves with. Because of this, a narrative is created. Sometimes the narrative we have for ourselves can be harmful. When a client is experiencing a discrepancy in his/her life, I work hard to gain understanding of how they experience the world so that I can better serve my client's needs. Gaining control of your mental health is empowering and because of this, I work to create an environment to foster growth and understanding within the clients therapeutic journey!

Many of my clients have struggled with various forms of anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions and past trauma. Many of my clients have been women of color navigating challenges with family, work, grief, parenting and relationships, while attempting to cope with the stressors that come with these roles. Often, these clients are attempting to be the best version of themselves, and want assistance in identifying and strengthening ways to thrive, rather than merely survive.

I specialize in working with clients who are trying to manage their lives while dealing with addictions, ADHD, depression, and anxiety. I work to help these clients minimize the impact these disorders have on their day-to-day, while also working with them to reduce shame they may feel because of their mental health.
