Latinx open-minded, culturally sensitive Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I use EMDR and enjoy working with women’s issues, assisting them in tapping into their power and healing from their wounds. I work with individuals to assist them in overcoming harmful behaviors, low self-esteem, social anxiety, eating difficulties, and phases of life changes. I am a trauma-focused certified therapist and can assist those in recovery from traumatic events such as abuse, racism, and discrimination, loss.

Effective treatment inspires measurable positive change. My approach to therapy is to provide empirically-based interventions in a warm, collaborative and transparent manner. As Miami's first DBT certified therapist, I work with individuals who have difficulty managing their emotions, relationships and behaviors. I also teach mindfulness and behavior change strategies to promote psychological flexibility and therefore overall well-being. Our practice offers a fully adherent DBT program for adolescents, parents and adults wanting to improve interpersonal skills as well as distress tolerance skills and emotion regulation skills.
