I have many years of experience working with early childhood trauma and severe, persistent mental illness, varying from ages of 5 years to 70+. My goal is to empower and advocate for positive change within you, as the individual, and the system as a whole. The place that we will create together is a safe and judgement free space. I work through an Existential foundation, to help those I work with seek meaning and purpose, with skills built from experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, all within the context of a trauma-informed approach.

My goal as a clinician is to provide my clients with an environment where they can explore different ways of feeling, thinking, and being, with a focus on connecting with themselves and others. While I have some tools that I commonly use, I believe in tailoring my approach to your needs and making treatment a collaboration between us. As a sex positive counselor, I believe that sexuality should be a normal part of conversation. I work with individuals and couples (both in non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships) and work with members of the LGBTQIA plus population. Specifically, I work with those navigating sexual pain, purity culture recovery, infidelity, and marriage and premarital counseling. Additionally, I am a kink-affirming counselor. I have been practicing for over 35 years and still love the process of engaging with clients who desire to grow, improve their lives, and/or solve their problems through therapy. Deanna Morphy is a licensed professional clinical counselor. She completed her master's degree at Geneva College. She has experience working with adults who struggle with alcoholism or addiction, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Deanna has provided both individual and group therapy to those clients, as well as individuals coping with depression and anxiety. She also has experience working with physicians and their clients who are taking a maintenance medication such as Suboxone, Naltrexone, and Methadone.
