The quote “Be you, love you, all ways, always” by Alex Elle has always resonated with me. I have noticed when clients are able to be kinder and more accepting of their own journey, when they're able to look at and respond to themselves, they would to their best friend in the same situation. My approach to therapy is meeting the client where they are at and making a personalized plan to minimize feelings of overwhelmedness to help them accomplish their goals. My therapeutic style is approachable, collaborative, and creative. I incorporate art, music, movement, and other imaginative exercises in my practice, empowering my clients.

I act as a facilitator of change for individuals who suffer from depression, anxiety, various traumas, panic, grief/loss, stress, postpartum blues and depression, low self-esteem, and who are going through life transitions and have parenting challenges. I believe that human birthright is to experience joy in life. Individual journeys in healing and growth are the ways to achieve that.

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed out, confused, frustrated, discouraged, disappointed, lost, anxious, sad or angry, you are not alone. Most of us experience those feelings at some point in our lives. We care about the people we serve, and we believe every person is individual, authentic, and unique. We use evidence-based practice (EBP) methods for mental health to help children, pre-teens, teenagers, adults, couples, and families to live their best lives. We understand that therapy can seem scary and intimidating, though we know that finding the support you need is the key to starting the self- healing process.

Individual or sex therapy in a safe, non-judgmental space could be right for you if you want to be seen for who you are.
You deserve pleasure, regardless of what you’ve experienced. I can help you develop confidence in communicating your desires, feelings, and boundaries. You’ll learn to not just survive but thrive after trauma. We’ll work on addressing anxiety and avoidance. Sex therapy can help if you want to work on something and your partner doesn’t. In sex therapy, all partners are welcome. You also can attend regular individual therapy if you want to work on sexual shame, trying to date, or exploring gender or sexuality. Together, we’ll explore your mental health challenges – I will join you in this experience as you navigate troubled waters.

As a relationship and individual therapist is affirming of all gender, consensually sexual and romantic presentations and identities; I am sex worker allied and my care is kink/BDSM/ENM informed (and enthusiastic!) and embracing of neurodivergence.
Shame and stigma can permeate every aspect of our lives and make pleasure, love and work challenging, painful and sometimes impossible. Shame and stigma often mask something special and remarkable about a person; talents, identities, ways of living or loving that are unappreciated, misunderstood and even repudiated. Deviance and difference should not be requisites for pain and failure; those qualities can be empowering and liberating. Often, it is a dominant culture that pulls the veil of shame over our eyes and hearts. Our stories and ourselves are worthy of dignity and care, regardless of what we learn from the dominant discourse.

I mostly work with marginalized clients and families (ages 12 and up) with many concerns, but especially focus on the following: clients with intersectional identities including racial/ethnic/religious minorities, LGBTQ+ and first generation, trauma/attachment therapy, and sex therapy.
You might be going through a challenging life transition, crippled by worry or a traumatic experience; you have decided it's time for a change and therapy is a great tool to get you there. We can work on finding your inner strengths and ultimately achieve your goals to improve your quality of life. We'll work together to enhance your (or your teen's) strengths to help you overcome the challenges you are currently experiencing as well as helping you develop tools for your future. I believe therapy is a collaborative process and will be dedicated in walking through your journey with you.

Specialties: Immigration / Assimilation, Women’s Issues, Couples Sexuality, Chronic Illness, Anxiety, Depression, Children & Adolescents (behavior issues, attention issues, divorce), Life Transitions.
My ideal in therapy is to be able to set a comfortable environment in which growth can be achieved. I truly believe that a person can overcome and achieve anything that they set their mind to. I like to set an environment in which working together with the client goals can be turned into reality. I do not believe that there is a problem that is too big or small that cannot be tackled with the help of a supportive and motivating environment. Originally I am from Lithuanian that leads me to having a special interest in immigration/assimilation concerns. I have experience working with children, adolescence, and adults.

Sex Therapy

Who is sex therapy for?

Sex problems are common in relationships. Many people want a better sex life and want to feel loved and desired by their partner. It is difficult for couples to resolve sexual problems on their own because people often feel ashamed to talk about their sexual desires fearing they are not normal, when in fact a very broad range of preferences and behaviors are normal. A sex therapist can help clarify this and other matters.

Why do people need sex therapy?

Many people do not know how to talk about their erotic needs or their emotional needs, both of which are addressed in sex therapy. Couples often live with sexual difficulties for years before seeking help, and in that time, partners may experience so much disappointment and alienation that they may fear their problems mean they are incompatible. Once people experience disappointment, it is difficult to find resolution without help.

What happens in sex therapy?

People have many misconceptions about what takes place in sex therapy. First, it is a form of talk therapy in which partners discuss their sexual concerns; it does not involve touching or physical exploration of any kind. Sex therapy typically helps couples get comfortable talking to each other about sex so that, in the privacy of their home life, they can openly discuss their sexual desires and make decisions about what they want to do. Couples are typically assigned activities to do at home that build intimacy skills.

What kinds of problems do sex therapists treat?

Very often, partners differ in their degree of sexual desire and struggle over how often to have sex. Or they may have fights about porn use or have difficulty connecting sexually after one partner is unfaithful. Men may have problems with premature ejaculation. Women may find themselves struggling to become aroused or to achieve an orgasm. Sometimes partners feel like they have lost the sense of attraction to their partner. These are all common issues dealt with in sex therapy.
