Waitlist for new clients
Working in the realm of sexuality, sexual expression and sexual identity for all is my true passion.
I offer a genuine, compassionate and respectful relationship with my clients, so they can reach greater self-awareness and insight. My goal is to help each person I work with reach greater satisfaction with the overall quality of their life and attain the personal tools needed to strengthen intimate relationships. I view mental health similarly to physical health: when there's an injury or illness, seeking professional intervention, guidance and support can improve overall wellness.

Some are creative; work in tech; approach gender, sexuality, relationships, or parenting with fluidity or nontraditionally; experience themselves as anxious, introverted, sensitive, or neurodivergent; are re-evaluating aspects of their lives as young adults or at mid-life; are members of marginalized groups; or would like to explore their sexuality more.
I am passionate about helping you explore what’s getting in the way of being your full self and having the connections you want. I provide psychotherapy to adult individuals, couples, and more than couples from a place of open-mindedness, curiosity, and sex-positivity, and an awareness that our lives don’t always unfold as expected. People who work well with me include those with liminal identities that may not fit neatly into boxes and who may feel like outsiders in some spaces.

In sex therapy, I create a safe, sex-positive space to address concerns relating to sexual health and intimacy for couples and individuals (queer, ENM, & kink friendly).
These are really tough times, aren't they? Existing issues feel bigger and it can be that much harder to cope. Therapy can heIp. I approach therapy in a warm and collaborative manner to help couples, individuals, and families identify new and adaptive ways to deal with life's challenges. In couples therapy, I use Emotion-Focused and Gottman approaches to help partners learn to manage and repair conflict, rebuild trust and intimacy, and build emotional connections. In family treatment, I'll work with your family to develop adaptive and healthy communication patterns, as well as address parenting concerns and behavioral issues.

I practice holistic counseling with an expertise in sex therapy and somatic psychology, which helps us reconnect to the body's innate wisdom.
We are complex; we get to go through iterations of ourselves. It's a healthy part of being human. My job is not to judge you but to make space for your next iteration. In our lifetimes we get to be messy and beautiful; kind and mean; complicated and simple. We get to change. That doesn't mean it's easy. I'm a straight shooter who will tell it like I see it and challenge you compassionately when necessary. You're not "too much" for me. I see your challenges as coping skills that are no longer working rather than deficiencies. I'm client focused and I allow you to set the pace, flow, and tone. I meet you where you are.

I also specialize in sex therapy and help couples and individuals struggling with: low desire, desire discrepancy, sexual trauma, difficulty with arousal/orgasm, painful sex, inability to accomplish penetration, and erection/ejaculation problems.
Welcome to my practice. I have over 30 years of experience providing therapy to individuals and couples from very diverse backgrounds with regards to ethnicity, religion, age, country of origin, and sexual orientation. The therapy I do tends to be short-term, "here-and-now" focused, goal oriented, and skills based. I believe my clients want to change their behaviors, and not just "talk" about what's going wrong. My therapeutic style is collaborative, non-judgmental, warm and compassionate. I'm not a "one size fits all" therapist because every client is unique. I offer a Good Faith Estimate at the client's request.

I use talk therapy, IFS (internal family systems and parts work), and EMDR to work with clients' internal worlds in order to help them navigate sex, gender, and intimacy issues.
Do you struggle with being connected with parts of yourself and others? Perhaps different parts of you know how to get what you want, but something inside prevents you from making changes. Sex Therapy is a window into the mind, body, and spirit, allowing you to identify places in which healing needs to take place, and highlighting your deepest desires. Together, we’ll explore your past and present, create intentions for the future and set you up with skills in order to meet your goals.

Welcome! Mindfulness is a practice of self awareness where one learns the significance of what I call the "emotional pause", this is essential in both individual and couples work. Being able to pause allows our minds and bodies to process and integrate information, creating space for self acceptance and making choices that support and align with our personal wellbeing. It also allows us to "respond" rather than "react" in relationship. My approach is direct yet compassionate,I use talk therapy and somatic practices to help couples and individuals fully get to know themselves and make choices that create lasting change.

I am highly competent and sensitive at working with a diverse range of individuals, regardless of cultural background or where they may fall on the gender/sexuality spectrums: including intersectionality, Biracial/multiracial, and mixed couples/families.
Seeking out therapy is a very heroic action in and of itself, perhaps your first proactive step into redefining your sense of self, creating a new life story, and taking a leap into the direction of self-care. If you are reading this, you may be in a state of uncertainty, or perhaps connected more deeply than you would like to be to the effects of depression, anxiety, or your daily life situations. Maybe, you are wrestling in a relationship with someone you love; perhaps, finding the words to communicate who you are and how you feel may seem unattainable and challenging at best.

Sex Therapy

Who is sex therapy for?

Sex problems are common in relationships. Many people want a better sex life and want to feel loved and desired by their partner. It is difficult for couples to resolve sexual problems on their own because people often feel ashamed to talk about their sexual desires fearing they are not normal, when in fact a very broad range of preferences and behaviors are normal. A sex therapist can help clarify this and other matters.

Why do people need sex therapy?

Many people do not know how to talk about their erotic needs or their emotional needs, both of which are addressed in sex therapy. Couples often live with sexual difficulties for years before seeking help, and in that time, partners may experience so much disappointment and alienation that they may fear their problems mean they are incompatible. Once people experience disappointment, it is difficult to find resolution without help.

What happens in sex therapy?

People have many misconceptions about what takes place in sex therapy. First, it is a form of talk therapy in which partners discuss their sexual concerns; it does not involve touching or physical exploration of any kind. Sex therapy typically helps couples get comfortable talking to each other about sex so that, in the privacy of their home life, they can openly discuss their sexual desires and make decisions about what they want to do. Couples are typically assigned activities to do at home that build intimacy skills.

What kinds of problems do sex therapists treat?

Very often, partners differ in their degree of sexual desire and struggle over how often to have sex. Or they may have fights about porn use or have difficulty connecting sexually after one partner is unfaithful. Men may have problems with premature ejaculation. Women may find themselves struggling to become aroused or to achieve an orgasm. Sometimes partners feel like they have lost the sense of attraction to their partner. These are all common issues dealt with in sex therapy.
