As a psychotherapist and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, I treat a wide range of sexual, relationship and intimacy issues. I work with individuals and couples. Sex is one of the deepest and most powerful experiences we have and it can also be a source of great stress and shame when things do not go as smoothly as we would like. Cultural messages and biases can further compound these issues. I provide a safe and nonjudgemental environment for individuals or couples to discuss these issues.

We are an Alabama group practice with LMFTs, LPCs, and interns. We exclusively see clients using secure Telehealth therapy for your convenience, and do not have a physical location. Licensed therapists (Cindy, Sam, and Alicia) take BCBS of Alabama insurance. Interns see clients at a $25 rate per session. Cindy is a certified Sex Therapist, and Alicia is licensed to supervise MFT-I's, MFT-As and MFT-Is. Alicia is an EMDRIA approved EMDR trained therapist.

I have always had a passion for helping others. In my practice I help my clients to achieve the proper tools and acquire the proper resources to overcome their challenges. Typically, a client needs to be reminded of their own strengths, wisdom, and to realize their own healing power. My motto is "Helping to build your Tree of Life." A person has roots and the behaviors branch out to support our decisions and actions. By building a firm and sturdy root system a person can support their branches and their buds will bloom into beautiful fruit and flowers.

Sexual issues with you and/or your partner including sexual dysfunctions such as low libido/sexual desire discrepancy, sexual pain, ED (men), etc. can be overwhelming & difficult to navigate or even discuss. I provide a safe, judgement-free environment to process & address these struggles as well as sexual identity & alternative lifestyle issues/struggles. Also treating: Relationship/Marital/Pre-Marital, Sexual Addiction & Anxiety/Depression related to Sexual Issues.

It is my mission to foster greater self awareness and self care, while improving individuals' ability to love their self and others, ultimately striving to live a fulfilled life. I strive to support the community by providing individual, couples, group and family counseling in Montgomery, AL. I am experienced in working with individuals 18 & up that suffer from: anxiety, anger, blended families, career exploration, couples counseling, depression, family conflict, PTSD, relationships, self-control, sex counseling, sexual orientation, social skills, substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, trauma and sports performance in athletics.

Nneka Hartfield is a licensed therapist, certified sex therapist and certified life coach that believes change is possible when an individual/couple has the right tools to lead them towards success.
