She holds a certificate in Trauma from the University of Denver and utilizes a trauma-informed approach when working with clients. Yazmine is also an Adult Associate Level Treatment Provider with the Colorado Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB) and specializes in providing therapeutic treatment and intervention for individuals struggling with sexual behaviors, sexual disorders and sexual offending, while utilizing a victim-centered approach.

I seek to create a safe, welcoming environment where genuine conversation and exploration can occur. We specialize in the education and treatment of digital media overuse, which includes, video game addiction, social media, information overload, spending compulsions, and online pornography overuse and addiction. We prioritize family involvement because we know that including family members supports overall change, and the health and wellness of the whole family. Families find that when involved in treatment they achieve what they came in to change in a more timely fashion. We provide expert advice, education and guidance to individuals and families seeking to learn more about how to use digital media in a healthy, effective manner, as well as to those who are in the depths of addiction. We specialize in the common co-existing issues found alongside or underneath digital media overuse/addiction, such as anxiety, isolation, depression, academic challenges and failure, inability to obtain or keep employment, lying and deceitful behavior, as well as, aggressive and acting out behaviors.

My clinical style includes meeting you where you are at in your unique life experiences (i.e.; stress, change, depression, etc.) then helping you make sense of your problems in a meaningful way while also learning tangible coping skills and discovering creative solutions. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), and Certified Eating Disorders Specialist-Consultant (CEDS-C) with the unique ability to combine nutrition and mental health for clients suffering from disordered eating, poor body image, low self-esteem, anxiety/depression, and other mental health disorders. I advocate for my clients to help them become self-sufficient and independent in developing healthy behaviors.
