Couples therapy can consist of troubles with communication, sex therapy concerns such as education, dysfunctions, lack of desire/interest, pain in sexual activity, medication side effects, and anxiety/depression related to sexual issues, post-affair recovery, and relationship conflict across the lifespan. I also work with those struggling with depression, anxiety, relational problems, including family systems. I have a passion for working with couples, families, young adults and adolescents. I specialize in helping them walk through communication issues, anxiety, grief counseling, pre-marital counseling and marriage counseling. I provide counseling from a Christian perspective when requested. I make every effort to provide a warm and honest environment where people are able to explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences and work towards healing.

Growing up in a family marked by deep-seated intergenerational trauma, I developed a strong interest in helping couples who struggle to communicate and express themselves due to past hurts. I have noticed how this kind of trauma affects people's close relationships, especially the ones where they should feel most comfortable. I firmly believe that in any relationship, both partners should be able to speak up and feel safe sharing their thoughts and feelings. In my approach, I want to really know clients as individuals, not just the problems they are facing.

As a former Division I Athlete and US National Team Member, I believe that one of the bravest things we can do is learning how to love ourselves through the process of owning our own storying. Often times the first brave step is just reaching out. Society tends to view therapy as something you need if you have “failed” on your own. However, I tend to think the counseling process is one where we invite someone else to walk alongside us on our journey of figuring out who we are. I believe that as humans we are designed for relationship, and we aren’t intended to do and figure it all out alone.
