When the world seems daunting and impossible, all we want to know is that we are not alone. The darkness you have overcome, or perhaps are still stuck in, may seem all consuming. Whether you struggle with symptoms of depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, addiction, PTSD, personality disorders, or have never received a diagnosis and still feel traumatized—you can heal. Your mind is a powerful tool that can be used as such, when it is trained out of being a torture chamber. Healing requires summoning the presence power of consciousness to change, but change requires psychological safety. You know you can heal, but you need support.
My trauma-informed approach to therapy is based on the simple, realistic assumption that every human being is capable of change. We will focus on the present moment, and grounding into presence and purpose to foster development of psychological safety. I use an integrative approach of somatic and mindful-based cognitive therapy, as well as Gestalt, and ART.
Maybe you have tried therapy before, and it did not work for you. Maybe you have never tried therapy before, and are afraid it will not help. Whether or not I am the right therapist to guide you through your healing journey, I am happy to speak with you about your goals, fears, strengths, and limitations.
