About
I recognize that change is hard, but I believe that everyone has the capacity for positive change. I want to help you realize that change by utilizing a humanistic approach in therapy. That means that I treat everyone as the unique individuals that they are. There are no cookie-cutter solutions to problems when it comes to mental health. I will focus on understanding your worldview and assist you in discovering new insight and awareness. Using that newfound information we will develop personalized strategies for change.
All too often, we focus on eliminating the parts of ourselves that are undesirable. We can be unaware of the purposes or functions that those parts serve, which can lead to various mental health problems. Instead of focusing on what you want to eliminate, I will work with you to transform what you thought were weaknesses into strengths.
I believe that change is within you, my job is to help you find it. It can be scary to take that first step towards positive change, but I want to walk alongside you as you advance down your path of growth.
