Serena uses nature-based, outdoor sessions to use the natural world as a guide for cultivating a sense of belonging and self trust in daily life. These sessions explore how to feel into one's intuition and senses to make decisions and build feelings of empowerment. Serena’s areas of focus include gender-based violence/trauma, eating disorders (including ARFID), LGBTQ+ related struggles (+ gender affirming surgery letters), and late/self discovered ASD/ADHD. They also focus on the commonly co-occurring challenges such as depression, anxiety, and control. Sliding scale $80-175. Serena works with teens 13+ and adults.
Serena sees it as their responsibility to assist clients in building trust within themselves to enhance safety in daily life. Serena uses a trauma-informed and strength based-approach, and they use elements from Polyvagal Theory, Somatic therapies, Feminist Theory, and parts work/Internal Family Systems (IFS) to build a trusting relationship with the self.
In their free time, Serena loves creating visual art, dancing, cooking, reading and being curious about the constant new shiny hobby that comes their way. Serena is on their own journey of decolonizing their mind and body, which has its own non-linear process that gets messy and imperfect while also being tied to continuous community building with others.
