It is said that the family is the “factory” where people are made. We learn to react in certain ways within our families which can affect how we develop, as well as our relationships and behaviors. Life can take unexpected turns and the challenges presented at such times can be difficult to work through alone. I seek to help my clients navigate and maneuver through these times by creating a safe haven from which to work through their challenges. I am committed to empowering individuals, strengthening relationships, and strive to create equilibrium within families.
My experience includes working with diverse individuals, couples, and families struggling with life and relationship issues, mental health and substance abuse, and family dysfunction. In therapy, I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, attachment-based experiential/systemic therapy, as well as emotionally-focused therapy, and family systems based modalities.
I meet my clients at their particular juncture and consider it a privilege to join them on their journey during difficult times. As a licensed professional counselor with 17 years of pastoral experience, my training allows me to weave Christian theology with psychological aspects when called for or desired.
