I was raised to believe that richness of exposures and depth of trainings make for the best professionals. Before I became a therapist myself, I earned a Ph.D. in an allied field and spent 16 years teaching, at UCLA, USC, and Antioch University West; then I went back to school for clinical training. I specialized in children and families as a base and then went further for psychoanalytic training, one program for adults, another for children and adolescents.
My approach is developmental because that is how each of us grows, body and mind, and many influences that touch us through life. I have adopted strengths from numerous perspectives, including 'cognitive behavioralists '. There are multiple factors that hold a 'problem' in place and multiple ways to address its resolution.
