I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has experience treating depression, anxiety and trauma. I work with children, teens and adults. I hope to foster an environment where you can feel safe and open to express your thoughts, feelings and experiences, and work on learning new and healthier ways to express and cope with your emotions and stressors. At this time I am not accepting new clients who require appointments after 4pm, and can only accept new clients who have day time availability. If you have an allergy or fear of dogs, please let me know as I often have a therapy dog in my office.

I believe it is important to honor where we’ve been, and to take an active role in where we are going. Nothing in life is static, yet navigating the relentless ebb and flow of life, with its ups and downs can be difficult and sometimes overwhelming. An important role of mine is to cultivate a safe space where you feel seen, heard and safe, so you can freely share what is weighing on you. As social beings, we learn and heal best through connection with others. In fact, the brain is hardwired for relationship.

For over twenty years I have been working within the field of Individual and Family Intervention. My education in Masters of Arts in Counseling from Biblical Theological Seminary which is now referred to as Missio Seminary has provided me with the ability to help so many. I am certified in child sexual abuse treatment through Widener University and Family Support Line. For the last 15 years I have been a member in good standing with AACC (American Association of Christian Counselors). Biblically based counseling with the intention to glorify God while helping others to navigate through life's challenges has always been my priority.

Dr. Witmer works with children, adolescents, young adults, and families in the therapy setting. Dr. Witmer specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, AD/HD, parenting techniques, behavioral concerns, developmental concerns, anger management, mood disorders, and more. She utilizes integrative, cognitive behavioral, and play therapy approaches when working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Dr. Witmer provides comprehensive psychological, psychoeducational, and diagnostic evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. She can also provide other types of assessment as well.

I am an LCSW with over 25 years of experience working with children and adults. Most of my work has focused on providing individual and family therapy to young adults, as well as children and adult survivors of trauma. I believe our experiences shape the way we see the world which can lead to patterns that are no longer serving us. Our thoughts impact the way we feel, and insight into these connections can move us towards change and healing.

Dr. Weicker was originally trained as a medical doctor " La Sapienza" University of Rome Italy in 1988. After moving to the United States in 1989, she embarked upon a new career in brain and colon cancer research at RI Hospital- Brown University for 4 years and a Thomas Jefferson for 2 years. Dr. Weicker also has been a College Professor in Anatomy and Physiology Pathophysiology, Nutrition and Herbs and Medicine college courses for 20 years, Penn State, Alvernia University, and Lehigh Carbon Community College. She has since earned a Master's Degree in Health Care from Alvernia University in 2004
