Therapy is for everyone. Being a kid is a hard job and being a parent isn't easy either. It can be lonely, isolating and overwhelming when you or your child is struggling. We aren't meant to struggle alone. My passion is helping kids, adolescents, and their families learn how to navigate big feelings, stress and overwhelm. I believe people are more than their diagnosis. Yes, a diagnosis is a tool but it is not the big picture. I come from a place of curiosity and wonder, wanting to know my clients on a deeper level so that I can help them navigate this world. For example, PTSD is a big diagnosis that is thrown around; yet, it doesn't paint the full picture. It doesn't reflect someone's experiences, triggers, how this is impacting their relationships, family history, the strengths they possess etc. Adolescents are my passion however, I also enjoy and work closely with families and adults.

Reaching out for help for yourself or your child is hard and scary! Life can be challenging and sometimes we need extra support to get us through life transitions or daily stressors. My role as a therapist is to help your child and family understand and process their emotions, while also providing you with skills to calm your body and mind. I enjoy incorporating play and art into sessions to give children outlets to express their thoughts and feelings when they don’t yet have the words to do so.

Do you desire healing? I believe we all possess the skills we need to live a happy, fulfilled life, but sometimes need assistance to change the patterns of thoughts and behaviors standing in our way. I will help you identify unhealthy patterns, and work with you to achieve a more well balanced, healthy life. My areas of focus are working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions women's issues and couples counseling. Relationships are hard! In my work with couples I focus on identifying challenges, strengths between the couple and building the lines of communication.

Society Today is faced with multiple Life stressors ranging from Financial, Marital, Relational, issues with employment and or Life In General. Through Therapy, an Individualized Improvement Plan can be devised and implemented to assist individuals with coping and possibly overcoming the issues they are facing. Adolescents and Teens are complicated, and I am eager to assist. Teen groups are available as well as individualized treatment. Two people working together are always better than one. As a therapist I have learned the more input a client contributes to their therapeutic goals the better the outcomes and success possibility.

I have a passion for helping people find their way. I have been a therapist for over a decade, helped hundreds of individuals and their families, but I have a particular interest in supporting those that are in the "odyssey years". That period of searching and wandering that often starts in late adolescence and for many, lasts upwards of around a decade.
