I am a Licensed Counselor and EMDR Certified with over 25 years of experience with a broad range of concerns and can guide and support your journey through skilled, evidenced-based techniques. I am a compassionate listener and my main goal is to help you find your solid center and emotional regulation and balance. I am intuitively skilled at successfully cutting through confusing dynamics and reactivity to identify core issues that haven't been resolved through other therapies.

I strive to provide individualized treatment for every person in my care. I believe that each individual has a unique set of circumstances that bring them to therapy and those experiences shape the therapeutic relationship. I want to encourage clients to work towards their goals while respecting the boundaries and obstacles they face along their journey towards mental wellness.

Therapy should provide a safe, nonjudgmental relationship through which to explore those parts of you that may make you feel ashamed or afraid, to develop meaningful insights, and to discover your strengths. I have extensive experience working with people seeking to overcome traumatic life events - sexual violations, abuse, neglect, extreme acts of violence - but have found that, in the end, it can sometimes be the seemingly small, overlooked wounds that take longest to heal. No matter how stuck and hopeless you may feel, you have the power to take control and embrace the person you'd like to be.

On the outside it looks like you have it all together, but inside you're engaged in a constant struggle for control. Your anxiety, OCD, and/or eating disorder has taken over your life. You find yourself in a constant loop of feeling worried, nervous, stressed and at times not good enough, thin enough, or smart enough. You’re stuck and unable to find the relief that you crave, so you try temporary fixes. Sometimes you disconnect and avoid people and your responsibilities, sometimes you binge, sometimes you purge, and sometimes you try to use anything that will distract your mind. You find, however, that your mind just wont turn off.

Bolivar is a native of South Florida, where he attended Florida State University’s School of Social Work. His studies focused on child welfare and cultural studies. He graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and Social Work. Immediately following his undergraduate studies, Bolivar knew his life’s work would be helping youth overcome trauma and strengthen families. These passions led Bolivar to a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Child Welfare Studies.

I would love an opportunity to walk with you through the trials you are facing. You are unique, and should choose someone whose approach and values are a good fit. One of my favorite quotes is "sometimes, when you are in a dark place, you think you've been buried, but you've actually been planted". Emotional pain can be so overwhelming that we feel unable to get out of the dark places by ourselves. Trying to navigate trauma, anxiety, hopelessness and stressful relationships, can create fear, doubt and shame to take up too much space in our lives. The way to healing and restoring the body, mind and spirit can feel challenging, but you don’t have to do it alone.

Life can be complicated. It's like a knot with no obvious way to untie it. Days can be lonely, tiring, and confusing. BUT, burdens lighten when someone walks beside you and feels your pain. Hi, I'm Adrienne Parker! If you're here, it's because you're seeking new approaches for your child's growth. As parents, stepping out of our comfort zone and building a supportive community is key. I'm here to aid your child's social, emotional, and mental development, teaching self-advocacy and providing success tools. I work with kids and teens ages 8-20, and specialize in those struggling with ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Attachment Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Personality Disorders, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Substance Use/Abuse, Adjustment Disorder, and more.

Up front, I'm not the therapist for everyone. I don't have a flowery sales pitch about self-fulfillment and safe spaces, I'll probably be wearing an old t-shirt and jeans, I encourage expressive profanity, and I have more tattoos than your average therapist. Most of my caseload is trauma and PTSD. Much of the trauma work involves complex trauma with co-occurring dissociation, personality disorders, substance abuse, and anger. My work with trauma clients includes adult and adolescent survivors of physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, both active duty and retired military personnel, and first responders.
