The thought of even going to one's first therapy session can often lead to the question of "What do I even say if I go?" I create an environment where individuals do not worry or feel responsible for answering this question. Through creating an atmosphere of empathy, warmth, and connection, I invite individuals to be curious, self-compassionate, and determined to create the life they want rather than feeling overwhelmed by shame, the voices of their own inner critic, or trapped in life circumstances.

I have worked in a variety of settings including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, in-home, career and collegiate. Although that seems like a mouthful, it simply means that I have had experience working with a broad range and severity of clinical issues. I have the most experience working with anxiety, family/relationship conflicts, life transitions, and complex trauma/abuse. I also have experience working with depression, sexuality and self-esteem issues.

I specialize in a unique form of counseling that teams individuals with horses (Equine Facilitated Counseling) as they work towards meeting their therapeutic goals. The horses and I serve individuals of all ages, but I am highly specialized in working with children and adolescents ages 6 and up.
