Life can feel so stressful and challenging, and therapy can really help with that. As an Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist, I help couples uncover negative relational patterns as well as their underlying longings and needs so they can feel much closer and more connected for a lifetime of love. My approach is non-pathologizing, collaborative and effective. I also work with individuals looking to feel better, whether it's anxiety, depression or any kind of relationship issue that's causing distress. I use a combination of cognitive-behavioral interventions and psychodynamic approach in my work, as well as a sense of humor.
I work with both individuals and couples in a warm and supportive environment. I've worked in private practice for over 20 years. The couples I see are married or not, gay or straight, highly distressed or wanting a "tune-up". With individuals, I'm collaborative: you're the expert on "you" and we work together to help you feel your best, most authentic self.
I provide a complimentary phone assessment so that both of us can determine whether embarking on therapy with me seems right for you. I also have a sliding scale based on your income.
