Starting therapy can often bring up many feelings; and taking those first steps to find a good fit between you and your therapist is an important part of the process. We will work together to create a relationship that feels safe enough to address your concerns. In addition to my private psychotherapy practice I have provided trauma informed therapy to individuals and families in various community based, non-profit agencies, in addition to Clinical Supervision.
My expertise includes struggles with relationships, early childhood trauma, life transitions, gender exploration/affirmation, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. I have developed a specialization treating complex trauma. I have been trained psychodynamically and work from a relational perspective, using an eclectic approach that fits with my client needs.
I have a special interest in working with Queer and Transgender/Gender variant individuals and families. I have extensive experience and interested working with youth and their families to help navigate the difficulties and conflicts that arise in adolescence and young adulthood. I provide support to families navigating gender variance and exploration.
