Our Team
My name is Jason Chandler, and I believe everyone has the right to let their light shine. I’m an affirming therapist for all individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community, offering a space rooted in respect, compassion, and professionalism. As one of the owners of Self Care Counseling, I’m proud to work alongside a team of dedicated clinicians who share this same level of care. I also supervise our staff to ensure clients receive the support they deserve. You are worthy of care, attention, and a space where you feel seen and supported.

I work with adults navigating addiction, trauma, co-occurring disorders, generational patterns with mental health issues including Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective, Bipolar, Depression, ADHD, NPD, & ASPD. Experience includes veterans, human trafficking, & individuals impacted by gang involvement & suicidal ideation. I've spent over 10 years across inpatient, outpatient, & community-based settings meeting people where they are. Some are in crisis, some are stuck in cycles they can't name yet, & some are just ready for something different. We work together to make sense of what you've been through and find direction for what's ahead.

Healing begins with acceptance. Inspired by the words of American Psychologist Carl Rogers — “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change” — I offer a supportive, empathetic space for teens (13+) and adults to explore their experiences without judgment.

I work with adults who feel stuck, unfulfilled, or weighed down by anxiety, depression, or negative self-talk. Many are questioning their identity, relationships, or direction in life and want space to explore the stories they’ve learned about who they are and what they deserve. Some are simply trying to find a reason to keep going. My clients want clarity, self-understanding, and a way to live more authentically and on their own terms.
