One of the focuses of my career is to find the points of overlap between the Christian faith and sound counseling practices. This integrated perspective informs all of my professional endeavors. As your counselor, I will use a mind-body-spirit approach to tailor treatment to your individual needs. In each session, my goal is to help you discover and develop new insights and skills to navigate through the often-turbulent waters of life. I aim to help you get results and find solutions, so the amount of time that you may need or want to see me will vary depending on your circumstances.
I think that therapy should be relationship-driven rather than theory-driven. If we work together, you’ll likely hear me comment on or ask questions about how you and I are relating to one another in session. The way that you and I interact in session might provide you with helpful insights about your other relationships.
I believe that all therapy is affected by the therapist’s underlying worldview, so I’d like to share a bit about mine here so that you can decide if we might be a good fit. In addition to my Christian faith, I have been heavily influenced by Viktor Frankl’s "Man’s Search for Meaning," Irvin Yalom’s "The Gift of Therapy," and Marcus Aurelius’ "Meditations."
