Many of us are living through experiences that keep us in a state of depression, deep sadness or idleness. These feelings are not always easy to identify because they are deeply rooted in our character and in our minds. I aim to assist people to find clarity and to gain confidence, aligning them with the life they desire. I primarily support teenagers, college-aged students and graduate students presenting with social anxiety. My focus is in helping clients develop problem solving skills, manage stress, sharpen the way they navigate negotiations within interpersonal relationships and many other life strategies.
Identifying any combination of these factors, along with other mitigating factors often affect our social/emotional well-being. These may hinder our belief in our abilities or self-worth that binds us to a life of self-deprecation, frustration, sadness, and depression.
Understanding the power of compounding factors on the psyche, I approach the therapeutic process by assisting people with cultivating acceptance, balance, perseverance and validation. My style is empathetic utilizing active listening and unconditional positive regard.
