I believe that most mental health struggles are the result of the places we come from, the identities we have, and the way we were raised. Whether anxiety, disordered eating, posttraumatic stress, or gender dysphoria, mental health issues are most often adaptive responses to dysfunctional situations. Together, my goal is to help build insight into the reasons why you're feeling the way you do and find new ways to navigate the world.
After working in counseling centers for over five years, I have experience with a wide-array of mental health struggles. My various interests and specialties include disordered eating, body dysmorphia, anxiety, career exploration, and trauma, as well as working with graduate students and folks from the LGBTQ+ community.
It takes bravery to reach out and find someone to talk with, working through struggles that are so common, but so often stigmatized. It is worth recognizing how much it means that you've taken this first step. I encourage you to contact me to see if it might be a good fit and start the journey toward mental well-being and personal fulfillment.
