I specialize in trauma, military life, first responders, and working professionals, and also offer supervision and consultation for clinicians.
If you’re a working professional just trying to make it through the week, a mil spouse who’s tired of “blooming where you’re planted,” a first responder running on empty, or a veteran who’s tired of pretending everything’s fine—this space is for you. You’ve probably learned to keep it together for everyone else. But here, you get to take a breath. Alongside therapy, I also offer supervision and consultation for other clinicians seeking grounded, real-world support. Schedule your free consult and we’ll figure it out together.

I think of therapy as a compassionate collaboration. Clients and I form a partnership in which we work together to not only change behavior, but to understand why we continue to make the same mistakes. We also develop a "roadmap" to avoid future problems by learning to spot "red flags" that may trigger old behaviors. Learning new coping skills and strengthening old ones are an intregal part of this process.

I believe it is important to work from a trauma-informed approach and also use EMDR to assist clients in reprocessing past trauma.
I offer therapy to individuals, families and couples who are hoping to make positive changes in their lives. I am here as a helpful resource to offer support, reflect on patterns of behavior that may no longer serve you, and to offer encouragement and guidance to release the painful hurt of the past while moving forward to embrace a better tomorrow. I strive to create a safe, empowering and comfortable space for my clients to learn, heal and grow.

I work extensively with trauma experiences both childhood and adult.
If you have been suffering with feelings of anxiousness, depression, and/or experience negative thoughts that lead to distress, I would like to help . It takes courage to start therapy and share thoughts and feelings that you rarely give words to. The most important aspect of therapeutic work is the therapist client relationship with safety and trust built over time as the foundation. Together we can explore and make sense of what is causing your distress and develop tools to help you feel stronger and more comfortable with yourself and others. My goal is for you to experience more joy and a better quality of life.

Do you feel like the challenges you face in life are making you (and your loved ones) out to be crazy, a burden or a problem? I aim to carve out a comfortable healing space for people who are faced with problems that may be tricky to unravel, obstinate to change or that simply need a place to be aired-out and heard. I am interested in meeting people who may struggle to find a good fit with other counselors or people who are new to therapy and looking for a comfortable, personal and respectful relationship.

Clients come to me for a warm, open space where they can process fears, conflict, and past trauma.
I work with women who feel that people-pleasing, perfectionism, and/or pressure are constant companions. Perhaps you worry that you aren’t doing enough at home for your children, you don’t have enough time to put into your relationships or you can’t meet your own expectations at work. Balancing the roles that you play, while feeling fulfilled and content can be difficult to manage without frustration or burnout. The women I work with often put themselves second to other relationships and priorities and struggle to communicate and maintain boundaries.

We limit ourselves though comparison, fear, anger, trauma, resentment, and a variety of other feelings.
“Therapy is about understanding the self that you are. But part of getting to know yourself is to unknow yourself – to let go of the limiting stories you’ve told yourself about who you are so that you aren’t trapped by them, so you can live your life and not the story you’ve been telling yourself about your life.” Lori Gottlieb. The foundation of this quote is the support and guidance I want to provide to each person that walks through my doors.

I enjoy working with individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, body image concerns, and relationship challenges.
I offer a safe, calming, and reflective space where you can begin to look at your life from a different perspective. Sometimes a shift in perspective is what allows meaningful change to happen, and that’s an important part of my work as a therapist. I believe everyone deserves a space to heal and grow without fear of judgment. My approach is collaborative and grounded in helping you feel fully seen and accepted while also developing practical tools to move forward. Through the therapeutic relationship, we can explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion, free from the biases that often exist in other relationships.

When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
