As a psychologist/therapist, I want to work with you to gain the tools and strategies to help you move past the area that is of concern. I have been in practice for nearly 20 years, having raised three beautiful daughters and now enjoying 4 grandchildren. I believe that we must find the positive and the good in each day even if it's small to give us the power and motivation to move forward. It is not always easy, but it is definitely worth it. When you are ready to take your first step towards change, I am here to help guide you toward a more productive life. Lets talk and begin a new chapter. You will not be judged, but understood

I help adults and couples move through anxiety, trauma, and life changes with a somatic, trauma-informed approach.
Do you find yourself striving for perfection, yet it never feels like enough? Do you struggle to express what you truly want or need—or even feel unsure of what those are? Are you feeling drained by your career or the stresses of daily life, and unsure how to feel like yourself again? These struggles are common, but they don’t have to define your life. Together, we can work toward clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of self. I specialize in helping high-achieving professionals and caregivers who give so much to others learn how to reconnect with themselves, set healthy boundaries, and find fulfillment without burning out.

Many of the men and couples I work with feel stuck in cycles around pornography, sexual habits, or intimacy concerns that are quietly eroding confidence and connection.
My approach is practical, non-shaming, and grounded in real relationship dynamics. I don't moralize sexual behavior - we focus on impact, values, and choice. This work for me is finding the right solutions. Solutions that lead you and your partner to places that ultimately make sense to both of you, they are right for you.

And couples who feel their marriage may be on the very brink of breaking.
I feel a "calling" to help adults and teens through counseling! I offer clients deep compassion, unconditional acceptance, and understanding. Often we believe the worst about ourselves! We lose sight of our own value, our own beauty, and self worth. We become depressed or constantly anxious, feel lost, maybe even broken on the inside. But, counseling can change that! I provide a safe environment that is consistently supportive, empathetic, and empowering! I will help you see yourself anew, grieve your losses, face your fears, and help you locate your deep self and reconnect to your life's purpose. A natural joy will follow!

FAQ - About Couples Therapy
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
