When we come to therapy, often times we overwhelmed, and at times alone. My goal for therapy is to provide a space in which offers support and comfort. With graduating in May of 2020, I continue to build my experience and knowledge to offer the best counseling for the clients were serve. My focus includes working with clients who are currently impacted by anxiety, depression, worry, school troubles, among other things.
I believe one of the most challenging things that you can do is to begin to understand your own story. We gather a lifetime of experiences which affect us in different ways. Holding on to past negative experiences prevents further exploration and healing. In a sense we get stuck in patterns of thinking and relating that hold us back from true potential and empowerment of our best assets.
I believe that seeking counseling when aspects of our lives become challenging is a courageous and important act of acknowledging and validating the dignity of self. I work with adult clients (18+) who experience depression, anxiety, borderline personality, trauma and grief. At times our assumptions and interpretation of our thoughts, emotions and experiences can contribute to emotional suffering and interfere with our relationships with the people we love. As we try to do the best we can to cope with these problems we can also lack the tools necessary to effectively solve these issues.
"Effective therapy not only helps people resolve their immediate problems, it teaches them how to build long-lasting, greater life satisfaction." Bring yourself one step closer to having the control over your life that will put you on a positive path to growth and well-being. I practice a "Positive Psychology" approach which is founded on the belief that people WANT to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Mental health impacts each of us differently, making things even more important to not compare or judge how each of us feel and respond to life’s stressors. One of the most rewarding components of my job is truly meeting each client in their defined “time of need”. During your therapy journey, we spend time exploring your emotions, thoughts and behaviors, increasing your self-awareness and “tweaking” the tools to utilize in managing your emotions healthier.
Are you looking for quick results and relief? Is that even possible? Yes, it is! EMDR or ART might be the right type of therapy if you are looking for effective short-term treatment. Long-term therapy can last several weeks, months, sometimes even years, often without the relief clients hope to find. Now imagine not spending an excessive amount of time and money (compared to traditional therapy) to reach your goal! Let me help you better manage your PTSD, trauma(s), anxieties, and self-confidence concerns with EMDR or ART. Want even quicker results? Consider EMDR intensive sessions, which is the speediest therapy with rapid result.
Neuropsychological testing may be needed if you show signs of, or have had: dementia or cognitive impairment, cerebrovascular disease or stroke, acquired brain injury, Epilepsy or seizure disorder, movement disorders (Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease), systemic diseases affecting the brain or central nervous system (e.g., systemic lupus, erythematosus, demyelinating disease such as multiple sclerosis), genetic diseases affecting the central nervous system, mood disorders (depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder) or brain tumors.
