I'm Scott Morgano, an LCSW with 20 years of experience working with adults, children, and adolescents with various needs and eight years of experience working with adolescents and adults who have been the perpetrators and/or victims of sexual abuse. I take an analytical and supportive approach to working with all of my clients to help them fulfill their treatment goals. The clients I typically work with are children ranging from 5-18 years old. I have had over twenty years of experience working with children of various ages, as well as children and adults on the autism spectrum.
The most common theoretical approaches in my work with clients include cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. I however find play therapy to be most appropriate and most effective in working with children to help them better express themselves and their needs.
My communication style is direct, though supportive. I strive to create a supportive and warm, welcoming, non-judgmental environment for my clients. I make every effort to ensure that my clients are comfortable speaking with me about issues and concerns that are personal and important to them.
