"You don't understand" is something your teenager says to you, or something you think when you try talking to them. You want to help your child live a full, happy life, and you're worried that they won't get there on the path they seem to be on. They're stumped at each turn by depression, anxiety, psychosis, or by painful things that have happened to them in the past. Their behavior has changed, and you want to understand why, and what you can do to help, but the things you try often seem to backfire.
We'll come up with a plan to focus your child's strengths in a way that can help them handle what's going on in their lives, and give you the tools to talk to them without things going sideways. I also work with adults on issues of negative mood, work stress, negative self-concept, anxiety, and trauma.
I have availability on Weekday evenings in order to accommodate your schedule. I know that a good relationship is important to effective therapy, which is why I'd be glad to meet with you and your child for free before starting this journey. Please call me today.
