My name is Scott Jensen, and I have been a therapist for 20+ years. In addition, I am a professor of psychology and do research on parenting and other intervention. I believe in the power of individuals to face and overcome their difficulties, and love supporting them in the process. I have expertise in working with clients across a variety of struggles. I have worked a lot with depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, as well as with parents struggling with child behavior issues. I use cognitive-behavioral and choice theory/reality therapy techniques.
I am collaborative within a structured environment. I help clients to be more aware of their thoughts and processing as well as to become more aware of others with whom they interact. As we increase our awareness, we are able to evaluate and find more effective solutions to our struggles.
Clients need to be invested in their own goals. It does not work for me to just tell people what to do. As we increased awareness of the core issues, clients are able to better evaluate and make goals for change. I support the process of developing and accomplishing those goals.
