Having personal connections with substance abuse issues and struggles provides me with additional insight into the disease of addiction and the recovery lifestyle. I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). This is an evidence based innovative therapeutic technique that helps clients process traumatic events and the negative emotions that come with them. Often these traumatic events play a significant role in people's lives and ART can alleviate these symptoms and overall challenges for people.
I am a Lexington native that bleeds blue. I am passionate about working with people to help empower them to make a positive change in their lives. I have multiple years of experience in counseling with a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Kentucky and also have multiple Substance Use Disorder Certifications.
