Trauma, addiction, and loss can disrupt one's life - and often require professional help. Together, we can process the fueling factors of addiction, emotional pain, or relationship issues. I feel very blessed to bear witness to change and transformation in others (and myself!) everyday through my work. While many therapists claim to be 'trauma-informed', my practice is revolves entirely around trauma work. I've been recognized as a Diplomate of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress.

Has talk-therapy proven unsuccessful for you in the past? My training is in experiential therapy models, including EMDR and psychodrama, which allow us to do go places beyond talking. I specialize working with trauma, attachment issues, grief & loss, and addiction.

Clients often describe my approach as gentle, understanding, and non-judgmental. Many clients report life-changing results after only a few EMDR sessions of processing traumatic memories. As the Director of the Phoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy, I am committed to providing quality trauma therapy services in my community.

Within the field there are many facets, and it has been my honor to learn about experiential therapy and psychodrama through connecting with Scott. Scott increased my awareness and interest in psychodrama as we worked together to create a program for dual diagnosis clients. Scott is a kind, gentle, knowledgeable, compassionate clinician that has a keen awareness of experiential therapeutic approaches. His calming demeanor, and open stance allow for anyone, clinician or client, to immediately open up. He instantaneously establishes rapport, making him a model for his peers. I would strongly recommend Scott for anyone interested in experiential therapy, psychodrama, or in need of dual diagnosis assistance.

My first impression of Kap was his warmth and ability to connect. Kap quickly gained my trust as we began to coordinate together on a project with shared enthusiasm and excitement. Kap brings with him a wealth of both experience and knowledge - an understanding of neuroscience, the capacity to supervise other professionals, and a gentle welcoming approach to his clients. I would certainly recommend Kap as a supervisor or counselor for anyone looking to confront addiction and/or mental health.
