My experience includes leading inpatient group therapy at West Hills Behavioral Hospital here in Reno with a diverse population, ranging from children to adults. I have worked with a variety of disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar, borderline, schizophrenia, trauma and addiction. I am certified with Prepare/Enrich for premarital and marriage counseling. My clients are looking to find someone who understands, empathizes and can help them cope with their struggles. I am able to add a Christian perspective if requested.
I am able to help my clients using talk therapy, CBT, DBT and many other techniques. My goal is to help my clients in any areas they struggle or feel they need to address in session.
The most difficult part of beginning therapy is getting past the shame of letting someone know you need help. Many people think they will be judged for what they are going through, and it is the complete opposite. I want you to feel comfortable and know there is no judgment in my office. I always offer coffee, soda, or water to help you feel at home.
